Watch Miley Cyrus, Laura Jane Grace, And Joan Jett Cover The Replacements For A Good Cause

The Happy Hippie Foundation is a new organization put together to help and provide resources for homeless youth and LGBT youth. Miley Cyrus, the leader of this project, has decided to use her celebrity to elevate the visibility of these issues that have clearly touched her. To add even more eyes to the initiative, she’s brought along other musicians like Joan Jett, Laura Jane Grace of Against Me!, and more.

In the above clip, Miley and company are performing the gender-bending “Androgynous” by alt rock heroes The Replacements. The performance is a part of a series Happy Hippie is putting on called the Backyard Sessions, where Miley will host one-of-a-kind videos with a number of different music legends. It’s always refreshing to see whenever musicians use their enormous and intimidating celebrity powers for good.
