When we look back at 2013 two decades from now, there’s only one storied event we’re going to fondly remember: the night Prince joined Twitter, quivering the Internet to its hallow, chocolatey, orgasmic core. In case you missed it: Prince said hello to the Internet by tweeting under the @3rdEyeGirl account, first writing, “PRINCE’S 1ST TWEET… TESTING 1, 2…” followed by, “PRINCE’S 2ND TWEET.” You’ll never guess what came next.
It’s an important moment in the history of the Earth, and hopefully other, not-so-Internet friendly musicians follow his lead (even if they can’t quite match him — NOTHING matches “hi im prince.”).
