Oasis ‘Supersonic’ Trailer Shows When The Band Was ‘The Next Beatles’

In these United States, it may seem odd for there to be a documentary about the band Oasis. Sure, they were popular here for a time in the ‘90s. “Wonderwall” is a catchy song we all remember hearing in grocery stores and roller rinks that brings great tinges of nostalgia. The Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, are interesting figures known for speaking their mind and causing havoc on their wake. But in the United Kingdom, Oasis was truly one of the biggest bands of all-time, and that’s why the trailer for the upcoming Oasis documentary, Supersonic, is available to view now.

The name of the Beatles is brought up in the trailer, which makes sense because there was a time where it seemed that Oasis could be truly considered “the next Beatles.” They had eight No. 1 albums and eight No. 1 singles in the United Kingdom, and the trailer shows just how massive the band became. The Supersonic trailer seems to tell the traditional story of a hugely popular band. The Gallagher brothers started off as not particularly well-to-do kids who started making music and, seemingly overnight, they were massive successes. Then, of course, the tabloids and the excesses of fame come into play, and as we all know now Oasis is no longer a band.

Part of what is likely to make this documentary stand out are the Gallagher brothers. There seems to be a lot of behind-the-scenes footage of the band, and Liam and Noel should have a lot to say, and we know they will pull no punches. If you have any interest in the rise-and-fall of Oasis, once arguably the biggest band in Britain, this documentary looks like it could be worthwhile.
