Pearl Jam surprised everybody in Nashville earlier with a secret show at Third Man Records. A secret show is always a little strange because it’s not entirely a secret. You have to announce it somewhere so you’re not just performing for the janitorial staff. The cool part about this particular show is that the band was not alone, getting a little help from Jack White for some of their set.

The show hits ahead of Pearl Jam headlining at Bonnaroo this weekend and people were certainly buzzing about the appearance once word spread earlier in the day. The set featured 10 songs according to Consequence of Sound and was reportedly recorded by Third Man for release “as soon as humanly possible:”

The 10-song set kicked off with a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Interstellar Overdrive” before the band segued into “Corduroy”, “Pendulum”, and “Deep”. For the encore, Third Man founder Jack White joined Pearl Jam on stage for “Of the Earth”. Performances of “Hard to Imagine” and “Let Me Sleep” closed the show.

You can see the excited fans showing up on Third Man Records’ Instagram, along with plenty of celebratory trinkets involving the band and the after party. They had cake. We’ll have any performance footage as soon as it is available, but you can also keep an eye on Third Man Records’ site for the official release.
