The shocking death of Prince has caused an outpouring of emotion today, with many wondering what happened to The Purple One to cause such a sudden end. TMZ was reporting the rumors that the artist was treated for a rumored overdose last week, but there will be no official word on the cause of death until his autopsy on Friday.

But to help clear up how Prince was discovered, the Carver County sheriff’s office released the transcript behind the emotional 911 call from Prince’s Paisley Park estate. If there’s anything funny to be found in this situation, it’s that the emergency services will not just respond to someone saying “Yeah, I’m at Prince’s place.” Here’s the transcript via Fox 11:

EC: Okay, your cell phone’s not going to tell me where you’re at, so I need you to find me an address.

UM: Yea, we have um, we have um, so, yea, um, the person is dead here.

EC: Okay, get me the address please.

UM: Okay, okay, I’m working on it.

EC: Concentrate on that.

UM: And the people are just distraught.

EC: I understand they are distraught, but.

UM: I’m working on it, I’m working on it.

EC: Okay, do we know how the person died?

UM: I don’t know, I don’t know.

EC: Okay

UM: Um, so we’re, we’re in Minneapolis, Minnesota and we are at the home of Prince.

EC: You’re in Minneapolis?

UM: Yea, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

EC: You’re sure you are in Minneapolis?

UM: That’s correct.

EC: Okay, have you found an address yet?

UM: Yea, um, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry I need, I need the address here?

UF: 7801

UM: 7801

EC: 7801 what?

UM: Paisley Park, we are at Paisley Park.

EC: You’re at Paisley Park, okay, that’s in Chanhassen. Are you with the person who’s…

UM: Yes, it’s Prince.

EC: Okay.

UM: The person.

EC: Okay, stay on the line with me.

Prince was pronounced dead shortly after 10 AM after attempts at CPR failed to revive the singer. The sheriff did not hint at what the cause of death could’ve been today, but noted that foul play was not involved. TMZ also provided the dispatcher call, embedded below, noting that a male was down on the scene and not breathing.
