With her edgy aesthetic and “bad gal” reputation, members of Rihanna‘s Navy were shocked to see the 28-year-old “This Is What You Came For” singer break down in tears during a Dublin performance.
Currently trotting the globe for her Anti World Tour, Rihanna took the stage in Ireland’s capital on Tuesday night.
Zealous fans eager to savor moments from the Grammy Award winner’s live performance inadvertently captured badgalriri breaking down as she sang her 2010 hit with Eminem, “Love the Way You Lie.”
Shaky iPhone videos show Rihanna unable to get the lyrics out as she pulls away from the microphone shaking her head and wiping away tears.
Her Navy sings on in moments where her light sobs stifle her ability to continue singing. Rihanna then offers a potential explanation for the tears stating, “I only have ever in my life heard an audience of people scream so loud that they sound like one voice and that only happens in Ireland, in Dublin… Thank you so much.”
Though the tears may be deemed “happy ones” in response to the support she received in Dublin, her fans still swarmed to social media to express their worries and seek further explanation.

While the rest of her performance after this song sparked no additional cause for concern, she did initially show up late, prompting theories something occurred before the start of the concert.
Following the show, Rihanna took to social media herself with a cryptic Instagram post. In it, she doesn’t directly address the emotional moment, but rather expresses how “grateful” she is for her fans followed by the #DUBLIN hashtag.
