Sir Christopher Lee Releases Another Metal Album, Prepares To Rock Into Mordor

Sir Christopher Lee turns 91 this Monday, and he’s already secured his place in the collective conscience with roles in both Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings, but did you know he also likes to rock? After releasing a symphonic metal album about Charlemagne and Sir Christopher Lee’s A Heavy Metal Christmas, Sir Christopher Lee is releasing another metal album about Charlemagne this weekend. Feel free to reread that sentence however many times it takes to start making sense. (We don’t guarantee it ever will. Some things are just too awesome to be fathomed in this mortal realm.)

Charlemagne: The Omens of Death features Lee on vocals, with Richie Faulkner of Judas Priest providing the musical arrangements. The widget below previews the songs, and the second video is Christoper Lee talking about being a descendant of Charlemagne because of course he is.
