A Follow-Up To The N.W.A. Biopic ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Could Focus On Tha Dogg Pound. Maybe.

In a recent interview with VladTV, rapper Daz Dillinger hinted that a follow-up film to Straight Outta Compton is in the works. Dillinger says the film will be titled “DPG For Life” and based on Tha Dogg Pound.

“I was talking to Ice Cube, and he was telling me about the N.W.A. movie, he was like, ‘When Eazy [E] dies, that leaves it open up for part two.’ And that’s where we come in. Because when Eazy dies, it was us. We gon’ make our own [film] called ‘DPG For Life.’ Because when Eazy died, Suge Knight and them still around, Dr. Dre, and the story from there, what happens after that? We up next in there, we just putting it together.”

There’s no word from Kurupt or members of Tha Dogg Pound regarding the project, and, as HotNewHipHop points out, this is the same man who claims to have two unreleased Biggie tracks in his vault, so there’s no telling if this movie will ever happen, or if any plans have ever been actually discussed. Only time will tell. Stay tuned.

Straight Outta Compton is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14.
