‘Straight Outta Dunwoody’ Is The Hardest ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Parody To Ever Come Out Of Suburban Atlanta

I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to being a little jealous back in May when New Orleans’ Mr. Ghetto released his booty-tastic viral hit about the all around awesomeness that is the Walmart that Cajun Boy shops at. No one ever raps about retail near me!

Well, well, well, how things have turntabled. Dormtainment, a presumably Atlanta-based college comedy group of non-rappers who rap, have released this ode to the Atlanta suburb Dunwoody set to my all time favorite NWA song to parody cover, “Straight Outta Compton.” I approve wholeheartedly. Not only is the whole thing well done and hilarious (in the same vein as “Whole Foods Parking Lot”) but I’m also super familiar with every parking lot, sidewalk, and big box retailer in the video as I live nearby and worked in the heart of Dunwoody in another life (as a mercenary for hire). If you’re ever at Joey D’s, get the oyster shooters.

Awesomely SFW:

Three-way tie for favorite part goes to: “Friends named Andy,” Michaels shopping cart, and random white guy lamp purchaser.
