Swae Lee has to be at the top of most people’s lists of anticipated debut albums in hip-hop. On Rae Sremmurd songs — and his myriad feature appearances — Swae Lee showcases the kind of melodic mastery that hits are made of. The young artist has a knack for the catchy chorus, whether its Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles,” “Perplexing Pegasus,” or French Montana’s “Unforgettable” banger. Many people are longing to see his gifts on display throughout a feature full-length project — and they’re about to get their wish.

Swae Lee let his legion of Twitter followers know that Swaecation is coming “in less than a month.” When a fan asked him about the status of an “R&B album,” he said “this will be Swaecation Vol 1 as well as some on melodies on SremmLife 3 know I won’t leave you guys hanging.” It seems like he may be recording for both projects at once, which makes sense. People were looking for Sremmlife 3 to follow up soon after “Perplexing Pegasus” dropped. The fact that Swae said “Volume 1” is also pretty intriguing, as it exposes his plans to make a series out of Swaecation. This isn’t going to be a one and done project, which should further excite fans.
