Taylor Swift Clawed Through Earth, Wind, And Fire In The ‘Out Of The Woods’ Video

On Wednesday, Taylor Swift dropped this teaser image for her “Out of the Woods” video. She appeared much (for lack of a better word) filthier than we’ve ever seen her look. For extra New Year’s Eve drama, Swift dropped the final product during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve on ABC. Ryan Seacrest teased the live Times Square audience (over a million people gathered with security in check) and many millions who watched at home. After several promises and commercial breaks, he finally did the honors. Naturally, Swift’s video stood as an immediate sensation for obvious reasons.

After only a few minutes, Swift gathered over 100,000 views on her VEVO page, and it’s no real surprise to see this happen. Swift’s fanbase will follow her anywhere, but this production exceeds her usual floaty standards. In this video, Swift enters a dreamscape while being chased by a pack of wolves. Watch her leap through the air and face plant into snow and mud in this gritty yet ethereal work. Never let it be said that Swift doesn’t suffer for her art.

Way to commit, Swift. Thankfully, there are other dresses in the world after this one barely survived a CGI inferno.
