Travi$ Scott’s Lit Up Performance On ‘The Late Show’ Will Give You ‘Goosebumps’

Travi$ Scott made his debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night. Given the minor rush of albums that released last night, there’s a chance you may have missed the performance so simply thank us later for serving up the clip now. It’s worth watching just to hear the host say the elongated album title.

La Flame took the stage to perform a medley of the Bird in the Trap Sing McKnight tracks “Sweet Sweet” and “Goosebumps.” Travi$ was a little more controlled in his performance for the television audience versus the usual live-wire stage theatrics we have grown accustomed to seeing in association with his live performances on tour and at festivals. Still, he managed to create a whole different aura for the occasion by taking the stage drenched in clouds of smoke and red lighting along with a large owl looming in the immediate background for dramatic purposes.

It’s been a good run for Scott since the release of the album. Even though Birds… didn’t score a Grammy nomination he hoped for, the project did chart very high and critics and fans alike have given it multitudes of praise. Moral victories definitely still count for something and appearing on national television is another win for Travi$ as he closes out the year.
