Being behind bars can’t keep Troy Ave from delivering new music. The BSB general’s camp let loose of the track “Chuck Norris (Hoes N Gangstas)” while he awaits trial on attempted murder charges stemming from the Irving Plaza shooting that left his bodyguard dead and others injured. Legal troubles aside, Harry Powder’s sticking to the script and doubling down on words aimed at separating the real from the fake, even if it’s to his own detriment.

“Unofficial n****s always hate on the official
I ain’t that kind, when I blow it ain’t a whistle
I am that kind to stand over you with pistols
It is what it is and I feel no remorse
Been married to the game and we still ain’t divorced”

Let’s hope Troy doesn’t Tiny Doo himself and make a bad situation worse.

Meanwhile, Ave’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, recently spoke on his client’s behalf to Fox 5 NY, protesting his client’s innocence while asking the public for help in the case. According Leemon, the rapper will be pleading not guilty and is being painted as the assailant in the crime by the police department and media. To that end, he’s asking witnesses to contact a tip via e-mail at TroyAveInfo@LeemonLaw.com.

“We’re going to ask anyone who was there, anyone who has any information or anyone who knows someone who was in that VIP room that night — we have set up a special e-mail address,” Leemon said. “We know some people have problems talking to and working with NYPD — help us. Help me defend Troy.”

He continued, “What troubles me most is the misinformation that is being sent out. NYPD knows Troy didn’t shoot himself. They know Troy didn’t shoot his bodyguard. That man died a hero. And to imply anything — that Troy would actually hurt his lifelong friend — is absolutely insane and irresponsible.”
