Tyler The Creator Remixes Zayn’s ‘Pillow Talk’ After The Singer ‘Flaked’ On Him

If there’s one person in the music business whose bad side you don’t want to get on, it’s Tyler, The Creator. The Golf Wang leader once claimed that he wanted to “stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn esophagus,” and while he never followed through, that comeuppance could honestly be coming any day now. The latest person to become a target of Tyler’s ire? Former One Direction singer Zayn. Apparently, there were two separate occasions where Zayn was supposed to meet Tyler for a studio collaboration, and both times, he canceled:

After being stood up twice, Tyler decided to take matters into his own hands by releasing a remix of Zayn’s “Pillowtalk.” Now, this is where you’d think Tyler might have played some prank where he makes the song sound bad on purpose, but his remix is actually quite strong, and gives an added bit of slinkiness to an already sultry song. After hearing this, Zayn might be want to be a bit more proactive about working with Tyler in the future. It’s clear he has a natural flair for production, and as Zayn attempts to become a solo star, Tyler just might have the necessary oomph to get him over the edge. In one bit of amusement, Tyler decided that since he had no artwork prepared for the remix, he mimed himself playing guitar to the song.
