It finally happened. Big Boi didn’t get distracted by all the weed smoke and begin rapping about the dangers of drugs to a group of strangers; André 3000 wasn’t stuck in traffic after leaving his house late because he couldn’t decide which pair of overalls to wear. At 11:30 p.m. PST last night, OutKast took the stage at Coachella, and performed 27 songs, from “B.O.B.” to “SpottieOttieDopaliscious” to “Hey Ya.”
They were supposed to play a 28th with Killer Mike, “The Whole Word,” but a strict curfew cut off the set, which was largely transcendent but occasionally shaky. Big Boi and André 3000 are on better terms now than they were a few years ago, because $$$, but it’s not as if they’re best friends, either. But whatever, it’s 2014 and OutKast is performing “Rosa Parks.” That’s all that matters. Here’s the full setlist.
