It looks like I’ll be watching more will.i.am interviews because I’ve been missing out on quite the gems! Someone with a lot of time on their hands and possibly a fiery hatred for will.i.am created a supercut of the Black Eyed Peas musician being fake-deep in a number of interviews and panels.
In one clip of the hilarious video, Will tries to–I don’t know. I can’t even tell you because I am about as clueless as he sounds in the clip about Windows operating system and actual windows. “When I’m 60 years old, I’m gonna tell my little grandson ‘I remember when windows was just a window. We used to look out the window.’ You never know what a window’s going to be until you marry art and science for this era.” Like I said, I don’t know!
And then there’s the one about the connection between gramophones and iPhones. I’m sorry. I mean, iPhones.
“Gramophones. First was gramophone. That gramophone is now our Grammy award. And we went to selling gramophones and music being played on gramophones to music being played on iPhones and now we have iTunes.”
In his defense, maybe will.i.am was saying something deep, and totally thought-provoking that simply got lost when it was taken out of context to make this “incomplete” video of his “utter bullsh*t.” At least, that’s what I’m hoping. A multi-billion dollar tech company like Intel doesn’t just appoint people “director of creative innovation” and task them with developing phones and tablets all willy nilly.
