As many people know, Memorial Day officially marks the beginning of summer. For the most part, the weather around the country has cooperated with that demarcation. At least around the Chicago area where I reside, it’s been nothing but warm weather and sunshine across the last week. Of course, with the approach of summer, you also need some breezy, top-down tunes to help complete the vibe, and from the sounds of it, Young Thug is gearing up to unleash the perfect album for that purpose.
Earlier this morning, the Atlanta rapper unveiled yet another brief clip of music from his upcoming album Easy Breezy Beautiful Thugger Girl to his Instagram page. A while back, Thug declared on social media, that his next project would be a “singing album,” produced by Drake no-less, and this new song delivers on that promise. The unnamed track finds Thugger at his melodic best, rolling through with some fire bars through the verse, and lending some understated “oohs,” through the chorus. Perfect kick back with a margarita music.

This latest clip joins another piece of music that Thug has since deleted from his social media accounts that carried a distinct country vibe to it. Needless to say, it’s refreshing to hear Thugger continue to push out into new sonic dimensions and experiment with different flavors. Now if we can just get our hands on the whole album before the 4th of July, we’ll be all set.
