The hilarious feud between Donald Trump and El Chapo may have grown far less hilarious overnight. As a brief recap, Trump used El Chapo as a prime example of why a wall should be built between the U.S. and Mexico. Trump claimed he’s the only one powerful enough to stop El Chapo. In response, El Chapo’s son tweeted threats toward Trump, who beefed up his security detail and called the FBI in response.
These two all-too-powerful hot messes never did settle their differences, but it was easy to assume both the World’s Most Dangerous Man and the leading GOP candidate had better things to do. Pausing to take metaphorical shots is silly when one considers how Chapo’s son may have accidentally given away his dad’s location through social media. But the fabled shots may be all too real, according to a Mexican media source:
The world’s most wanted and most dangerous drug lord, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, is allegedly offering a US$100 million bounty for whoever delivers billionaire and Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump to him, dead or alive.
According to various websites, sources close to the drug trafficker say Guzman was infuriated by Trump’s racist remarks against Mexicans.
“He was mad. He wants Donald Trump dead and will pay any amount of money to have Donald Trump’s head,” said an unnamed inmate, according to Most Extreme News.
After Guzman’s escape, Trump said that it was time to build a wall between the two countries, and said that the drug trafficker’s incredible escape proved the extent of corruption in Mexico.
Trump said to his audience, “Can you envision Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton negotiating with El Chapo … Trump, however, would kick his ass!” To which El Chapo’s lawyer Juan Pablo Badillo responded, “What is he going to do? Kick him around like a soccer ball?”
If it comes down to it, El Chapo would likely win if he tried to defeat Trump. Both men are richer than some entire countries, but Chapo has the weaponry and the willing henchmen to take out any opponent. If this report is true, the price on Trump’s head is now so large that the temptation could be impossible to resist. Trump had best worry about this new development.
