CNN’s Don Lemon hosted a heated discussion over Donald Trump‘s ongoing river of controversial comments. Lemon has been pretty fair with Trump, but he’s still on top of Trump’s disgust at Hillary Clinton’s bathroom break and defense of “schlonged” usage. Lemon’s focus in this discussion was Trump’s habits of insulting his critics and making unpresidential remarks.
One of Lemon’s guests — trial attorney, veteran, and profuse tweeter Kurt Schlichter — may be a familiar face. He’s the same conservative commentator who recently froze while defending Trump’s anti-Muslim stance when asked to produce statistics.
Schlichter is back to discuss Trump, but he kept veering off subject by bringing up old Bill Clinton news while slamming Hillary. Lemon attempted to steer the discussion back to Trump by asking, “Have you ever heard a presidential candidate say things like this?” Schlichter responded, “No, but I know of a president who, well, turned his intern into a humidor, so I think we set the standard a little lower than Donald Trump has even approached.”
The situation accelerated when Schlichter called Bill a “serial sexual abuser” and attacked Hillary by association: “She supported him!” After several attempts, Schlichter wasn’t budging, so Lemon cut his interview losses: “This is the lowest of the low, and it has nothing to do with Hillary Clinton. It is just a cheap shot. Thank you. We’re done.”
Lemon cut off Schlichter’s camera, and Schlichter took to Twitter to call Lemon “pathetic.”

Trump updated his recent thoughts on Hillary with a “pathetic,” too.
