Former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke Won’t Stop Saying Wonderful Things About Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s endorsements from far-right wing nationalists and white supremacists are seemingly only heating up, as former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke has doubled down on his endorsement of The Donald on his radio show. It seems that even if Donald Trump plays coy to the surprisingly large sect of white supremacist support he’s been receiving, it will not be abandoning the Republican front runner any time soon.

Duke made the clear statement that he, as a former KKK leader, anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist and segregationist, believes it’s important that Donald Trump is elected President of the United States, saying:

“…It’s very, very important that [Trump] wins this election, both for the Republican nomination, and it’s important for him to win the presidency of the United States.”

Duke also said that Trump’s candidacy is allowing people to discuss race relations honestly (which seems like a sketchy statement on Duke’s behalf):

“…Encouraging people to begin to speak frankly and honestly about some of the issues we must talk about if we’re going to survive as a nation and as a people.”

When Trump was challenged on his non-committal stance regarding the white supremacist endorsements, he gave the Klan the thoughtful response that he didn’t give over 1.6 billion Muslims when he vowed to ban them from entering the US:

“You wouldn’t want me to condemn a group that I know nothing about. … I will do research on them and certainly I would disavow if I thought there was something wrong.”
