Sean Hannity And Megyn Kelly Are Now Feuding Publicly, With Hannity Accusing Kelly Of Supporting Hillary

Megyn Kelly has taken a few shots at her fellow Fox News employee Sean Hannity since his name became a talking point during the first presidential debate. Hannity has been an informal adviser for Trump this campaign, even appearing in one of the candidate’s campaign ads to the chagrin of his employers. This likely didn’t sit well with Kelly given her history with Trump, so she dropped some criticism after the debate and dropped a bit more during The Kelly FIle on Wednesday:

“Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10:00, will go on Hannity and pretty much only Hannity and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days, which doesn’t exactly expand the tent.”

The respect towards Hannity was apparently missed and the pundit replied fairly quick on Twitter:

He’s also quick to add that Trump has appeared everywhere and doesn’t just comfortably use Hannity’s show as his own meditation space. He’s Llewyn Davis without the talent, crashing on different couches all around the cable news circuit:

Kelly has been hit twice by the Trump camp in the past week, with the candidate himself stirring up his campaign rivalry with a tweet during the VP debate:

There’s so much to really take from this tiny exchange. Not only does it solidify that Hannity is in the bag for Trump and he’s willing to trash his own co-workers in the name of the GOP nominee, but it also plays into the strife that continues at Fox News. With Roger Ailes secretly helping out the Trump campaign and the allegation that Kelly had spoken against him during his sexual harassment lawsuit, you have to think there’s plenty at work with Team Trump and none of it has to do with taking The White House. Kelly’s still under contract at Fox News until 2017 and Hannity through 2020, so we have a little time to see if this sparks up more.

UPDATE Thursday, October 6th 10:10pm: Based on a Thursday-night tweet from Megyn Kelly, it looks as if she and Hannity have made up…for now. Blaming fights on being Irish is a tried and true tradition, and could be a legitimate reason for their quick make-up so soon after that spat. Or, they could have both realized that the negative PR wasn’t worth the public viciousness.
