Sean Hannity is one of the few media personalities still endorsing Donald Trump, and he’s taking a page out of the media mogul’s playbook. On Tuesday, the Fox News host took to his radio show to say he will gladly pay for the Obamas to go to Kenya, with the only condition he doesn’t return.
With this, Hannity’s defenses of Trump seems to be growing a bit wilder. From talking about Hillary Clinton’s underwear to using the sexual escapades of King David to defend Trump’s sexual assault allegations, Hannity seems to be digging deep for excuses. Yet he still seems confident The Donald will come out on top in the end. Hannity is so confident that he offered to fly the Obamas out of the country in order to flee a Trump presidency:
“I don’t know where I’m going to get it. Maybe I’ll ask Trump if I can charter his plane for Obama. I will charter Donald Trump’s plane if he’ll let me, and I will charter it to the country of your choice. You want to go to Canada? I’ll pay for you to go to Canada. You want to go to Kenya? I’ll pay for you to go to Kenya. Jakarta, where you went to school back in the day, you can go back there.”
Like the good travel agent he is, Hannity said he would stock the plane with only the finest champagne and caviar to make the make the Obamas’ trip a luxurious one. The only caveat of their trip, Hannity said, is that the Obama’s can’t come back to the U.S. And buried within Hannity’s travel plan is an indirect reference to the whole birther controversy. Trump has put a halt to his championing of this theory, but his surrogates may now be supporting that claim. Hannity didn’t flat-out say Obama was born in Kenya, but including the country in his travel plans is not so subtle.
