Hillary Clinton Argues That Trump Will ‘Rip Our Country Apart’ With His Immigration Plans

On Wednesday night, the third and final debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton took place at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas (UNLV). Moderated by Fox News’ Chris Wallace, the discussion was divided into six topics, with 15 minutes allocated for each.

After a lively debate about the Supreme Court, the conversation moved on to immigration. Acknowledging that the two candidates are deeply divided on the subject, Wallace asked, “The question really is: why are you right and your opponent wrong?”

Trump replied first, stating that providing amnesty to immigrants would be a “disaster.” Stressing that open borders lead to drug trafficking, the Republican nominee for president said, “We have to have strong borders. We have to keep the drugs out of our country. We are right now we’re getting the drugs, they’re getting the cash we need strong borders. We need absolute – we cannot give amnesty. Now I want to build a wall.” He continued, “We have some bad hombres here that were going to get them out.”

Clinton couldn’t resist jamming an elbow into Trump’s ribs during her answer to the question. “When it comes to the wall that Donald talks about building, he went to Mexico, he had a meeting with Mexican President – didn’t even raise it, he choked,” she said. “And then he got into a Twitter war because the Mexican president said we’re not paying for that wall.”
