As we head into the home stretch of the 2016 election cycle (finally), both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are both pushing all their efforts towards trying to convince voters that they are the best candidate for the President of the United States. Clinton has definitely won back some voters that were on the fence after her solid debate performance. Trump, not so much.
Throughout it all, both sides have been supported by celebrities and influencers from around the country — for better or for worse. The Donald has Chachi, while Hillary has just about everybody else. Now, Hillary has another high-profile name in her corner just a month from Election Day, and this time the call is coming from inside the house. Inside Trump’s house, that is.
Rudy Giuliani has the skeletal smile, loves to make incorrect terrorism claims, and is the current best friend of Donald Trump (although you know Chris Christie is plotting the best way to split that alliance at the next campaign slumber party). He also has two children: a boy and a girl. One of them has decided to go in the exact opposite direction of her father and vote for Hillary in a few weeks. That’s right, a Hillary supporter right inside the Giuliani family! Caroline didn’t just become a surprise Democrat though, she also voted for Obama in 20012. She told Politico:
“I love Hillary, I think she’s by far the most qualified candidate that we’ve had in a long while. My dad knows. I was for Barack in 2012. He knows and is fully comfortable with it and thinks I have a right to my opinion.”
This definitely proves sometimes the apple does fall far from the tree. Even in political families who operate on a national stage.
