Katrina Pierson Figuratively Claims Reporters ‘Literally Beat Trump Supporters Into Submission’

In a Monday morning interview with the Fox Business Network, Donald Trump surrogate Katrina Pierson accused “left-wing reporters” of “literally beat[ing] Trump supporters into submission.” The spokeswoman’s escalating rhetoric is in step with that of her boss, who recently lambasted the “disgusting and corrupt media” for protecting Hillary Clinton and misrepresenting his campaign.

“It is no secret that the media definitely skews left,” Pierson said. “However, I think this cycle, many people would agree that it’s above and beyond over-the-top when it comes to Mr. Trump and his campaign.” While claiming that 2008 and 2012 Republican presidential candidates John McCain and Mitt Romney “just sat there and took a beating,” Pierson said, “voters want someone that’s gonna fight back because they are tired of seeing left-wing reporters literally beat Trump supporters into submission into supporting policies they don’t agree with.”

Pierson has said a lot of questionable things in the past few weeks. In the month of August alone, the Trump campaign spokeswoman has blamed President Obama for Captain Khan’s 2004 death and the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan. She also baffled reporters with assertions that they were misconstruing Trump’s comments about “second amendment people,” and called the tradition of presidential nominees releasing their tax returns a “novelty.”
