Louisiana Police Release Bodycam Footage Of Two Cops Shooting And Killing A 6-Year-Old Boy

On Thursday, a Louisiana judge released graphic bodycam footage that shows two officers firing multiple bullets into a car and killing a 6-year-old boy. The incident occurred in September 2015, and the two officers are now facing murder and attempted murder charges.

The tragic event occurred when Officers Derrick Stafford and Norris Greenhouse pursued Christopher Few after they witnessed him having an argument with his girlfriend at a bar in Marksville, Louisiana. The officers attempted to detain him, but Few sped away in his car and ended up on a dead-end street.

The officers then fired at the car and killed 6-year-old Jeremy Mardis, who was hit with five bullets. Few was hit by the officer’s gunfire, but survived and emerged from the car with his hands in the air. The video shows a chaotic aftermath with several other officers arriving and Stafford saying he wasn’t aware there was a child in the car. Upon discovery of the boy’s body, one officer can be heard vomiting.

The video is quite chilling to watch, with Louisiana State Police Superintendent Michael Edmonson calling it “the most disturbing thing I’ve seen.” Both Stafford and Greenhouse have been indicted on second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder charges.
