Melania Trump Doesn’t Always Agree With Donald, But Believes He ‘Speaks From The Heart’

The GOP is down to the wire for Super Tuesday with the three leading candidates all making huge rally plays in the final days. Ted Cruz played his late-breaking strategy close to home in Texas, for he simply must capture the state in order to have a fighting chance at the nomination. Donald Trump has also played hardball in Texas by trucking out Chris Christie’s endorsement in Fort Worth last Friday before crisscrossing though some Southern states. Likewise, Rubio flew all over the place and eventually landed in Oklahoma for his last haul before Tuesday. One of Trump’s last strategic moves involved his Slovenian wife, Melania, who paid a visit to CNN.

Melania’s remained a mysterious, nearly silent figure until about 10 days ago when she joined Trump onstage in South Carolina. Folks noticed how she, an immigrant and non-native speaker of English, seemed to look past her husband and Sarah Palin’s thoughts on those who don’t “speak American.” Melania also visited MSNBC to distance herself from “illegal immigrants” by saying, “I follow the law.” She was very happy to speak with Anderson Cooper on the eve of Super Tuesday. Donald — who hasn’t been ruffled by certain press outlets mentioning Melania’s centerfold past — gleefully forecasted Melania’s CNN appearance with an enthusiastic “Enjoy!”

When Melania showed up on Monday evening to speak with Cooper, she fielded a variety of questions. Once again, Melania insisted that Trump is “not anti-immigrant,” for he simply wants all laws to be followed. She did display some autonomy, however, when revealing that she’s not always keen on his abrasive tone or rhetoric. She certainly didn’t appreciate how Trump pretty much called Ted Cruz “a pussy” during a New Hampshire rally:

“I’m thinking like, ‘Don’t repeat it,’ in my head, for him, ‘Don’t repeat it. Just don’t say it because the next day, media, all they will talk about is that.’ But he repeated it. He’s with the momentum, he goes with the flow, he goes with the people. They’re having fun, everybody was cheering. And he said it and the next day — but he repeated the word. That was not his word.

“He is who he is. He speaks from the heart. He doesn’t lie. He doesn’t hide anything, and people — they are connecting with that, and they know what he will do for the country … nobody can buy him.”

Well, Ted Cruz believes that someone can buy Donald, but that’s off subject. Melania goes on to stress that she and Donald are “independent” people, and she won’t try to change his ways. Still, she’s sort of hilariously shaming him for dropping the p-word at a rally, and she thinks his “tone” should change as president. Trump has previously vowed to switch up his tone once he takes office. That’s not too believable, for he also intends to keep on Trumping and make it legal to sue the pants off any media outlet while he’s president.

Here’s Melania’s full chat with Anderson Cooper. If nothing else, this provides some interesting context into what we’ll see from Donald’s family throughout election season.
