Who Is The New ‘Jihadi John’ Threatening British Prime Minister David Cameron?

In November, the U.S. announced the probable death of the ISIS-linked terrorist known as “Jihadi John.” Born as Mohammed Emwazi, the British-born extremist was reportedly killed during a drone strike over Raqqa, Syria. Authorities were 99% sure they got their man, and reports said his body nearly “evaporated.” Well, it looks like there’s a “New Jihadi John” on the loose, and he’s up to no good, as well.

In the above video (which is not the graphic version circulating elsewhere), a masked extremist appears on the screen with a British accent. The man’s identity remains a mystery, but he’s clearly not Emwazi. The New Jihadi John delivers “a message to David Cameron” in a clipped version of the speech. A longer version, which can be viewed on the ABC News site, shows five men (all accused of being British spies) on the ground and awaiting execution:

“Only an imbecile would dare to wage war against a land where the law of Allah reigns supreme. The Islamic State, our country, is here to stay. And we will continue to wage jihad, break borders, and one day invade your land, where we will rule by the Shariah.”

The man calls Cameron a “slave of the White House” and “mule of the Jews,” before apparently shooting the five men in the head. Also included in the video is a young boy, who points towards the distance and says, “We are going to go kill the kaffir [non-believers] over there.” The British government is investigating the video, and David Cameron describes its existence as “absolutely desperate tactics from an organisation” that is “losing territory.”

Vice magazine has a theory on this man’s identity. Voice analysis is currently underway to see if British fanatic Siddhartha Dhar (also known as Abu Rumaysah), could be the man in the video. According to The Daily Mail (which has photos), Dhar is “a former bouncy salesman” who joined ISIS and fled to Syria. Whatever the case, we likely haven’t heard the last from this masked extremist, and The Telegraph will feature the New Jihadi John on its Tuesday front cover.
