House Republicans Are Making The Case For Perjury Charges Against Hillary Clinton

The Republican Party has been coy in their support for Donald Trump, but they can both agree on one thing; they don’t want a Hillary Clinton presidency. GOP members and Trump alike have been calling out Clinton for the past few months about her private email server and are looking to put the final nail in the coffin.

House Republicans have outlined perjury allegations against Clinton for her testimony about her emails. The information comes almost a month after House Republicans asked the Justice Department to look into whether Clinton lied during her testimony to the FBI. Republicans allege what Clinton said during House Select Committee meetings on Benghazi did not line up with what she told the FBI. A letter to the Justice Department said she was not forthcoming about her email activity.

“Secretary Clinton stated ‘there was nothing marked classified on my emails, either sent or received. Very small number of the emails containing classified information bore the markings indicating the presence of classified information. Contrary to her sworn testimony, Secretary Clinton’s lawyers did not read each email in her personal account to identify all the work related messages.”

After the FBI’s response to Clinton’s testimony and the Justice Department’s decline to prosecute, Republicans are still looking for ways to hold Clinton accountable for her email snafu. Bill Clinton has already given his two cents on the topic, but it remains to be seen if Republicans will continue with perjury allegations up until the election.
