Rose McGowan hit back at a number of actresses online planning a silent protest against sexual harassment at the upcoming Golden Globes. According to E! News, “more than thirty female actresses who are attending and or presenting at the 2018 Golden Globes have vowed to wear all black to this year’s ceremony.” Deadline adds that Meryl Streep is one of the leading names behind the protest:

In addition to Streep, who has spoken out vocally against Weinstein despite working with him on August: Osage County and The Iron Lady, Jessica Chastain and Emma Stone are those who are said to be wearing black. No word yet on whether or not other high-profile actresses like Salma Hayek and Lupita Nyong’o, who may attend the ceremony, will participate in the silent protest after their own stories with the disgraced producer became public.

For McGowan, the silence is part of the problem. The Charmed actress hit out at the actresses, specifically naming Streep despite her past comments on Weinstein and making a reference to working with “the pig monster,” Harvey Weinstein.
