An incident involving a woman and actor Sylvester Stallone from the 1990s is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department District Attorney’s office.

According to Deadline, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed that an incident report and said that the case was presented by the Santa Monica Police Department on Wednesday.

Reporting on this incident started in 2016, when a woman claimed she would file a report with police about an incident that took place between her and Stallone in the 1990s. As Deadline notes, an attorney for Stallone told USA Today at the time that the actor “categorically disputes the claim.” At the time, though, lawyer Marty Singer said Stallone had a brief relationship with the woman while shooting a movie in Israel in 1987.

On Wednesday, Singer used the same words when speaking to Deadline, adding that Stallone has “nothing to hide here.”

“If this is the same woman, he categorically disputes this,” Singer said. “We have two witnesses who have come forward to deny her statements. One woman came forward and said that she was asked to lie for this woman to say it occurred. We have nothing to hide here.”

One of Stallone’s other attorneys, Blair Berk, has been talking to the investigating officer, Singer said, and she let it be known “that Stallone wanted to file a report that the woman — if it is the same woman — filed a false police report.”

Last year, reports surfaced of a 1986 incident with Stallone and a 16-year-old autograph-seeker in Las Vegas. The minor told Vegas police that she was sexually assaulted by the actor and his bodyguard. A representative for Stallone denied the allegation, and the incident was dropped when the 16-year-old declined to move forward with prosecution.
