Two Additional Aviation Officers Involved In The United Incident Have Been Placed On Leave

Two additional Chicago aviation officers have been put on leave after Dr. David Dao, the man who was dragged, bleeding from United flight 3411 acquired a high-powered personal injury lawyer.

The Chicago Tribune reported that Dao and his lawyer have asked the Cook County Circuit Court for “an order requiring United and the city of Chicago to keep all video, cockpit recordings and other reports from the flight, along with the personnel files of the Aviation Department officers who pulled Dao from the plane.” A few hours later, the Department of Aviation announced it had placed the two other officers involved incident on leave “until further notice.”

This comes on the heels of a new video debunking the claims that Dao was acting belligerently towards the officers and crew, as well as United CEO Oscar Munoz apologizing for the second time after the first apology just didn’t take.

This move by the Aviation Department means all three officers involved in the “re-accommodation” of Dr. Dao have been placed on leave, while United has begun refunding passengers on that plane for the disturbing event.

In a final bit of justice, those digging into Dao’s past bringing up a criminal history have also been disproven, as some media misidentified Dao.
