Earlier this week, the Republican Party announced a new amendment to the 2016 platform, and this time, they’re coming after your porn. Approved unanimously by delegates, the amendment declares pornography to be a public health crisis, with a goal of preventing children from becoming “porn addicts.” Although how they plan to wipe out the scourge that is pornography is another matter altogether.
If it seems a little sanctimonious to take porn away from everyone using the flimsy “won’t somebody think of the children” excuse, you’re right; it is. As such, the online porn giant xHamster — who we know isn’t afraid to get political — has released its Red State viewing stats. Their findings were then compiled into the below map, which lists the top porn searches of each state, as well as ranking states by their porn usage.
Texas comes in as the second largest consumer of pornography in the United States, with users searching mostly for cuckold, ebony, and amateur. Likewise, the most viewed categories were “cuckold” and “mature,” because apparently repressed Red State conservatives really get hot at the thought of cheating wives. Who knew.
So leave our porn alone, Republicans. In the long run, it sounds like you’re only going to be hurting yourselves.
