Most interviews with WWE talent tend to be tightly controlled, so it’s fun to see things go a little off the rails now and then. Case in point, Screen Junkies recently sent WWE superfan Nick Mundy out to ask The Rock some fairly terrible questions about Furious 7. He also interviewed numerous other WWE stars leading up to WrestleMania 31.
It’s all an act. Nick Mundy is a professional comedian who is being bad at his job on purpose, but there’s some quality cringe comedy to be found here. I mean, you don’t see The Rock share a banana with an awkward neckbeard Lady and the Tramp-style every day. The WrestleMania video also reveals the personalities of the wrestlers being interviewed. Daniel Bryan is pleasant to a fault, Rollins is the ultimate worker, Paige seems legit grossed out by the fat dude talking to her and Zack Ryder is, of course, a total self-promoting dork.
