Bill Goldberg’s latest WWE run — which came 12 years after his last one — ended right after WrestleMania 33. While the former Universal Champion is once again retired (for the moment) and is focused on spending more time with his family, he’s not a dummy, and he has ramped up his personal appearances and signings after this extremely high-profile run put him back in the minds of wrestling fans all over the world.
This is good news for people who want a chance to meet with Goldberg or get his autograph, but it’s GREAT news for anyone who loves promotional gimmicks, because if an upcoming appearance in Las Vegas is any indication, we’re in for a real humdinger of a stretch here.
On May 20th, Goldberg will be doing an autograph signing at the Sugar Factory in the Fashion Show mall in Las Vegas, and if the surprisingly low $20 cost of a photo and autograph wasn’t enticing enough already, for $75 you can be one of the lucky few to eat the GOLD-BURGER.
Get it? Because it sounds like his name! The Gold-Burger, while sadly not made with gold leaf, features a “gold-glazed” bun, two Angus beef patties, white and yellow cheddar, onion rings, lettuce, pickles, tomato, “Sugar Factory sauce” (which may sound even less appealing than “Donkey Sauce” just from a purely phonetical standpoint), and comes with fries and your choice of either a milshake or beer. This also, of course, includes a selfie with Goldberg and an autographed 8×10.
That’s … actually a super fantastic deal, especially if you’ve ever ponied up for an autograph or “VIP” celebrity thing before. Most of THOSE don’t include giant hamburgers. Thank you, Goldberg and the Sugar Factory, for making this a thing.
