WWE May Have Accidentally Spoiled Bobby Roode’s NXT Debut

NXTNA is about to get another new addition, at least if you believe the WWE’s United Kingdom Twitter account.

That’s right, in a post that has since been deleted, WWEUK confirmed that none other than Bobby Roode will be appearing on NXT’s tour of the UK next month.

Roode coming to WWE isn’t necessarily a surprise, especially because he was shown (with a graphic!) in the crowd at NXT TakeOver: Dallas. However, you would still think that the company isn’t too thrilled with an overly eager social media employee spoiling his debut before it’s even been filmed.

If and when Roode debuts with WWE, he will be the eighth (!!) former TNA world champion to debut (or return in Bubba Ray Dudley’s case) in WWE since Sting opened the floodgates in late 2014. Most recently, we’ve seen Roode’s former tag team partner Eric Young come to NXT, as he made his debut by confronting and losing to another former TNA talent, Samoa Joe in the main event of last week’s episode of NXT.

This will technically not be Roode’s first go around in WWE, as he appeared on some episodes of Sunday Night Heat and Velocity in the early 2000s. The episode of Impact that showed Roode and James Storm losing their TNA World Tag Team Championships to Abyss and Crazzy Steve just aired on TV a week-and-a-half ago.
