UFC’s Daniel Cormier Thinks Brock Lesnar’s Victory Should Put Him In The Mix For The WWE Championship

UFC 200 is in the books, and though we didn’t get the definitive light heavyweight championship bout we all wanted, we still got to see the smothering, Olympic-caliber wrestling that Daniel Cormier has made a trademark. Earning a unanimous decision victory over MMA legend Anderson Silva, Cormier wasn’t the night’s only big winner. Brock Lesnar also returned to the octagon, went the distance with Mark Hunt, and had his hand raised at the end of the fight. Not a bad night for a guy who also happens to be promoting his big match at SummerSlam. By the way, how weird was it to hear UFC commentator Mike Goldberg say Randy Orton’s name? 2016 is wild.

But getting back to Cormier, he’s gone on the record as being a huge WWE fan. Remember when he was at WrestleMania in 2015 and marked the heck out for Seth Rollins winning the title? Yeah, he’s not shy about it in the least. So naturally, if given the chance to fantasy book Brock Lesnar’s WWE return, he’d push the Beast Incarnate to the moon. Here’s what he’d do, courtesy of LAW: Live Audio Wrestling.

“He came in here and beat a top ten heavyweight, so you just make him more unstoppable. I say to hell with Randy Orton and throw the belt on him again, it legitimizes it because of what he did tonight.”

Personally, I like Lesnar in WWE as is: A dual-threat mercenary that occasionally drops in to fight or wrestle someone for a truckload of money. Now please, let’s get the ball rolling on Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens at WrestleMania next year.
