Brock Lesnar’s Opponent For The December 19 WWE Live Event In Los Angeles Has Been Announced

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and all-times Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar only has seven announced WWE appearances between now and WrestleMania. That’s three episodes of Raw, the Royal Rumble pay-per-view and three live events, the first of which happens in Los Angeles on December 19. That show has reportedly seen disappointing ticket sales — The Forum has sold under 5,000 tickets even with an advertised Lesnar appearance, and a Cena appearance that was later pulled — so what’s next? Announce Lesnar’s opponent, and see if that helps.

Lesnar’s house show opponents are usually pretty lackluster. Remember that he faced Kofi Kingston at Beast in the East in Tokyo and perennial Lesnar-throwee The Big Show in Madison Square Garden. So, who’s he facing?

Drumroll please …

Don’t miss WWE LIVE when it returns to the “fabulous” Forum on December 19th for the first time in over twenty years! Three Championship titles will be on the line as Roman Reigns will battle current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. Brock Lesnar is set to go one on one with United States Champion Alberto Del Rio and current Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens will defend his title against Dean Ambrose. PLUS, Bray Wyatt, Kane, The Dudley Boys, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, the WWE Divas, plus many more.

That’s per a promotional email sent out by WWE on Monday. Brock Lesnar will face Alberto Del Rio. What’ll be the outcome of that, you ask?

If WWE was smart, they’d make it a title match, put the United States Championship (of all things) on Lesnar and bring back Cena to see if he can go through his ultimate opponent to get back the secondary title he made as important (or more so) than the WWE Championship. Best case scenario, we’d avoid anymore Cena/Del Rio matches. Ah well, once Del Rio is disposed of, bring on the Sheamus!
