You may have missed it, thanks to all of the recent Hulk Hogan sex tape leaks and John Cena’s gross as heck broken nose, but the trailer for 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown was released, and oh man, it looks GREAT. Yes, we’re supposed to remain unbiased on this here comedy wrestling news website, but seriously. Here’s the synopsis:
WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose plays Shaw, a detective who returns to active duty after the death of his partner. When he uncovers evidence linking his fellow officers to a murder, they frame him for a homicide he didn’t commit. Trapped in his own precinct, Shaw will do whatever it takes to expose the dirty cops and clear his name. With twelve rounds in the clip and one shot at redemption, nothing will stand in Shaw’s way in this action-packed thriller.
Yes, good, I am into it. I mean, I’m a one-woman fake-wrestling-cop pep squad, but this is the most I’ve been excited for anything called Lockdown… since… um… sorry, TNA. The good news is that the The Marine 4 was actually a lot of fun, so I’m going to be cautiously optimistic that they can keep on a streak of over-the-top action movies with impossible to screencap rubber-faced leading men.
Now someone explain to me why every fight scene isn’t happening in a steel cage…
