In what seems to be a yearly occurrence, WWE is dealing with a litany of injuries heading into the first of the big four shows — SummerSlam.

Sami Zayn was knocked out until 2019 with two shoulder injuries, Ruby Riott injured her knee, Bray Wyatt was injured in a car accident, and Fandango injured his shoulder as well. Heck, even Shinsuke Nakamura was bitten by a police dog.

But good news is on the way, per the Wrestling Observer, which shared an update on a handful of former champions expected to return to the ring soon.

According to the report, Charlotte should be back for the run up to SummerSlam, and Dean Ambrose could be back sometime shortly after. Jason Jordan has apparently been cleared to return to the ring since February, but WWE is working to figure out how to bring him back to television.

Charlotte suffered a ruptured breast implant on her build to WrestleMania, still competed against Asuka in New Orleans, and wrestled up through Money in the Bank. According to the Observer, Charlotte is expected back in about three weeks.

Ambrose hasn’t landed back in WWE since December, when he had triceps surgery. The report notes he could be back in early September. Jordan was knocked out of action in February with a neck injury, forcing him out of an Elimination Chamber match.

Here’s to hoping for more good news on the injury front.
