Finn Bálor Reveals That His Injury Is Worse Than Initially Anticipated

Poor Finn Bálor has had a roller coaster of a week. After beating Seth Rollins to become the inaugural WWE Universal Champion and the centerpiece of WWE Raw. Unfortunately Finn suffered a shoulder injury during that SummerSlam match, and was forced to relinquish the title the very next night. He seemed in high spirits after undergoing surgery to repair his dislocated shoulder and torn labrum, but sadly the hits just keep on coming.

Via a video update from WWE:

Turns out the surgery was a lot more complicated than first anticipated. Any hopes of being back in four months have been crushed, and it’s gonna be at least six months of rehabilitation. Never in my life has six months felt so long. I don’t know how I’m going to cope with being out of the ring for that long.

This is depressing as heck, but for a guy who dislocated his shoulder mid-match, popped it back in, and still went on to get a decisive, impressive championship victory, we’re sure he’s gonna tough through his recovery and rehabilitation just fine. Let’s hope John Cena can sprinkle some of that neon-coloured fairy dust on him and shorten up that six month estimate.
