When Impact Wrestling returned to a four-sided ring at its last batch of tapings, many fans noticed the new ring apron was adorned with a prominent Twitch logo. We assumed that the spoiler-laden report associated with the images seemed to indicate that a Twitch-Impact partnership announcement was on the horizon. We were all right!
On Tuesday, Impact and Twitch announced just such a partnership, as Twitch continues its descent (ascent?) into being a pretty robust pro wrestling delivery service. The company has previously partnered with promotions like WrestleCircus, and most recently debuted the “Twitch Plays Pro Wrestling” weirdness of real-life, interactive wrestling matches.
Impact’s channel on Twitch will launch on Wednesday, and part of the new partnership will include the return of Live Audio Wrestling, which has a fervent fan following.
