The Miz Picked Up A Huge Title Win At WWE Raw 25

USA Network

Tonight’s Raw 25 has been a show full of surprises, from the Undertaker making his first appearance (in ring gear, no less) in in nearly a year to Steve Austin delivering Stone Cold Stunners to Vince and Shane McMahon. While the night isn’t even close to over yet, we already have a shocking match result.

The Miz had a big evening at the Barclays Center tonight, pinning Roman Reigns after hitting a Skull-Crushing Finale (following Reigns running into an exposed turnbuckle) to win the Intercontinental Championship. He was even able to win it without the assistance of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, who were ejected from ringside earlier in the match. You can watch the finish below:

This is Miz’s eighth reign with the Intercontinental Championship, one short of tying the record of nine reigns currently held by Chris Jericho.

The Miz also declared before the match in a pre-recorded video that he would be entering the Royal Rumble match this Sunday, meaning he will not be defending his newly won Intercontinental Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Roman Reigns is also in the Rumble match this weekend, so expect the two to throw down once more.
