Roman Reigns Has ‘Legitimate Beef’ With Brock Lesnar Being A Part-Timer

WWE

Do you hear that? That’s the sound of the last few cars speeding down the road to WrestleMania. We’re just 48 hours from the Granddaddy Of ‘Em All kicking off in New Orleans, and as such, pretty much every single member of the WWE roster is in overdrive doing interviews and making public appearances. (Side note: Follow With Spandex on Instagram to see said interviews and public appearances, because we’re on site all weekend long.) As such, WWE Superstars are popping up and popping off, and it’s all being recorded.

One of the biggest stars competing at WrestleMania 34 is none other than Roman Reigns, who is lined up to headline his fourth straight WrestleMania. He’s pinned the Undertaker and Triple H at the past two Manias, but it was his first Mania main event, against Brock Lesnar, that still hasn’t gotten a proper resolution. As Reigns tells the New York Post, that still weighs on him:

“I do have that unclosed box, you know, between Brock and I that we don’t have any closure on, and it’s really cool to see it come full circle now three years later.”

Okay, so that’s not exactly the poppin’ off we teased you earlier, but wait, there’s more: Reigns says he has “legitimate beef” with Lesnar over the way he handles his business within WWE, as well as the ever-looming threat of the Universal Champion going back to UFC. To that effect, Reigns is not only calling out Lesnar but all part-timers who are taking away spots on the WrestleMania card:

“So for me it’s very simple: Not only will [my promos] help fuel this fire between Brock and I, it will get some truth that needs to be said a little bit. Some people need to hear this stuff because this has kind of been a thing. Brock’s not the only part-time guy. But there are a lot of full-time guys that are never gonna, as a collective, reach our potentials if we are dominated in this portion of the year by part-time guys.”

Given that UFC president Dana White has confirmed Lesnar is returning to the fold imminently, the outcome of the Reigns/Lesnar matchup seems a bit telegraphed. But what we don’t know is how stiff Lesnar might get with Reigns for his remarks, so buckle up and get your suplex counter ready.
