Roman Reigns Made His Surprise Return From Suspension At A WWE Live Event

WWE found themselves with a bit of a hitch in their plans when Roman Reigns was suspended for 30 days for violating the company’s Wellness Policy, reportedly for using Adderall.

Reigns, along with Seth Rollins and current champion Dean Ambrose, will be in the triple threat main event match for Sunday’s Battleground pay-per-view. However, they have had to do the buildup for that match largely without the presence of Reigns. UNTIL RIGHT NOW, that is, as Reigns made a surprise return at Saturday night’s live event in Newark, Delaware.

At the culmination of said event, Rollins was holding up the WWE Championship and delivering a longwinded promo to the crowd — as he is wont to do — when unexpectedly Reigns’ music hit and he made his way to the ring. There were the customary boos, along with the customary squeals of delight, although that is sure to be nothing compared to the torrent of boos and catcalls we will hear on Sunday.

Reigns then made quick work of Rollins. Then, Ambrose, who had been dispatched earlier, made his way back into the ring, but Reigns just tossed him his belt and left, because deep down, they’re still bros … right?

Naturally, WWE provided video of this, because WWE.com exclusives are basically their “60 Minutes” now. All WWE needs now is for the crowd to stop booing Reigns every time see him, or even hear his name. That’ll totally happen, right?
