Stone Cold Steve Austin Might Be Violating The WWE Wellness Policy Every Time He’s On TV

There’s been a lot of talk about Wellness violations. It’s often been suspected that WWE protects its top stars from suspensions, but that apparently isn’t the case as Roman Reigns is about as big a star there can be. But it’s possible one star was able to skate by the process.

I was hopping around Squared Circle Reddit and came across this lovely tidbit from the WWE Wellness policy:

USE OF ALCOHOL WWE Talent are expected to be free of the influence of alcohol when performing for WWE. Accordingly, WWE Talent are prohibited from using or consuming alcohol at any time within a twelve hour period prior to any WWE event or WWE scheduled performance. Testing for the use of alcohol shall be for reasonable suspicion only as defined in Section 8A of this Policy. A positive test for alcohol shall subject WWE Talent to the penalties set forth in Section 15 C of this Policy and may also require evaluation for alcohol rehabilitation treatment.

Uh oh. That means a certain beer-drinking rattlesnake might be violating the policy every time he’s on RAW chugging beer and delivering Stunners. I guess technically Stone Cold isn’t violating the policy, since he drinks during the event and not 12 hours before, as stated in the clause. And Austin did most of his prime beer drinking before the Wellness policy, but he’s certainly chugged them in the ring.

Obviously this is all fun and games, but it’s pretty hilarious to imagine someone telling Stone Cold that he’s violating policy by drinking beer.

Just imagine the suspensions that would have come from this:
