Back in March, we shared the news that the sequel to the seminal Shia LaBeouf surfing penguins classic Surf’s Up would, for some reason, feature a group of WWE Superstars as CGI comedy birds. There’s a trailer, and we can confirm EXCLUSIVE DETAILS: these pro wrestlers are absolutely comedy birds for some reason.

Cody Maverick, hungry for a new challenge, convinces an infamous big wave riding crew known as The Hang 5, voiced by WWE Superstars John Cena®, The Undertaker®, Triple H®, WWE Diva Paige™ and Mr. McMahon®, to let him join them on their journey to a mysterious surf spot known as The Trenches, where legend has it, they’ll find the biggest waves in the world. Cody soon discovers that the life he left behind might be more heroic than what any death-defying wave has to offer.
Between Edge and Lana on a bomb squad, The Undertaker driving around with Scooby-Doo and Rusev almost killing Dolph Ziggler with a gun, WWE’s really leading the way in absurdist American cinema. It’s just a shame we never got a movie with Santino Marella voicing a CGI snake that’s good at karate.
