The Rock Reveals The One Moment That Changed His Life Forever

While acting and wrestling are what The Rock is most well known for, football is a major part of Dwyane Johnson’s life. Before he became a multi-time WWE Champion and one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, Rocky played division one football for the Miami Hurricanes (some folks even wanted him to coach the team this offseason) and he has stayed involved in the sport with his HBO show Ballers.

The Rock recently made an appearance on Live with Kelly (co-hosted by Alec Baldwin?!) where he shared how his first football coach, Jodi Swick, helped him turn his life around as a teen.

As he tells, it, Johnson apparently thought he was too good to use the regular boys room at school, so he snuck into the teacher’s lounge to use their restroom during school. After he was caught and cursed out by a teacher (Swick), Rock felt bad and went to apologize the next day. After accepting his apology, Swick invited the future NCAA national champion to play football for him, and the rest is history.

If he hadn’t joined the school football team, who knows if The Rock would have gone on to be one of the biggest action stars in the world, not to mention a legendary wrestler, so it just goes to show how much of an impact teachers can have on their students.
