(Please be aware that the order of the taped matches in no ways guarantees the order in which they will be aired, as the first set of tapings, comprising the entire first round, is airing completely out of order.)

a. TM-61 defeated Sean Maluta and Ali Mustafa. TM-61 won via pinfall in this dark match that is not expected to be part of the CWC weekly show.

1. Gran Metalik defeated Tajiri. In a stunning upset, Metalik won via pinfall with the Dorada Screwdriver.

2. Kota Ibushi defeated Cedric Alexander. Ibushi, still the heavy favorite to win it all, won via pinfall with the sitout powerbomb. After the match, this happened:

3. Akira Tozawa defeated Jack Gallagher. The Dragon Gate star won via pinfall with the deadlift German suplex.

4. Noam Dar defeated HoHo Lun. Although Lun has gotten a lot of publicity due to his being the founder of the first wrestling promotion in Hong Kong, he lost via submission to a leglock.

5. Brian Kendrick defeated Tony Nese. The crafty veteran won via submission with a choke.

6. Rich Swann defeated Lince Dorado. Swann is also expected to do very well in this tournament. He won via pinfall after a twisting inverted 450.

7. Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Drew Gulak. “The Technical Wizard” picked up the victory after he reversed a submission attempt into a pinning combination.

8. TJ Perkins defeated Johnny Gargano. The main event of the evening ended in another big upset. Perkins won via submission with a leglock. A trainer helped Gargano to the back after the match.
