WWE Immortalized Hulk Hogan With A Banner At Madison Square Garden (And It’s Already Gone)

This past friday, Hulk Hogan was honoured with a whole night dedicated to his appreciation. No, I didn’t just sit around watching old WCW episodes. WWE held a special show at Madison Square Garden to celebrate the wrestling legend, and immortalized his contributions to entertaining fans for decades in that building by raising a banner bearing his name:

It seems the definition of “immortalized” is a little different than what we’re traditionally used to, however. PWInsider received numerous reports from the weekend’s Knicks game that the banner has already been taken down.

Popular theory suggests that it was all just for this one night, and that a kayfabe thing that made people emotional once but seems dumb in retrospect is the most fitting legacy for Hulk Hogan. Personal theory suggests the representative from Madison Square Garden grew up a little Stinger, and has waited years for his revenge.

Well played, sir. Well played.
